 The Los Angeles Girl's Soccer Team was created
about one year ago by
the director of CICRIN, Hellen Vindas (top row; second from the right).
Soccer is the favorite sport on the Island of Ometepe and the children
from CICRIN are very talented at it. New soccer cleats were
donated to the team by the youth group that traveled to Ometepe in July
2003.
CICRIN's baseball team was founded January 2004, during the annual medical mission trip. Supplies and uniforms were donated by a baseball league from South Carolina. Youth who participated on this trip taught the children the fundamentals and rules of the game.
