I am one of 7 brothers and sisters and we grew up in the Methodist Church in eastern Kentucky.  My mother played piano for the opening of Sunday school.  I am married to Cherrie and between the two of us we have 4 children.  They are all grown now.  Our baby is Ashley, she is an honors graduate from Clemson University and the office manager at our main agency.   I am a grandfather of 2 (Shelby and Zack).  I am very active in my church and work extensively with the missions.  Cherrie and I sing in the choir.

Hobbies: I don’t play golf.  I don’t hunt or fish.  But I do like to ride around the lake in my ski boat and maybe pull some young skiers. (I ski only once a year).   I also have a Honda motorcycle that Cherrie and I venture out on occasionally.

Me and Nicaragua: As most of my friends and all of my family will tell you, my true passion for the last 6 years has been the people of Nicaragua.   We have led or helped lead over 25 short-term missions to Nicaragua in the course of about 6 to 7 years.  We helped build a Christian school that teaches over 400 kids a day.  We ship regularly containers full of clothing, hospital equipment, and supplies to Nicaragua.  I have shipped vehicles, a van, a school bus, and an Isuzu Trooper to Nicaragua.  We constructed several houses for poor families.   I  lead medical teams, construction teams and evangelical teams at least twice a year.  I have been all over the country and travel there about 5 times a year.  I have spent thousands of dollars of my own money and have raised thousands more that I have sent to worthy Christian organizations in Nicaragua.  100% of every dollar I raise goes directly to help the people of Nicaragua.  I always pay all of my own expenses when I go.  I pay all of the office expenses for my efforts here in the states.  (Phone calls, computer expenses, postage)  I even pay the costs of wiring the money down to Nicaragua.  The Lord has blessed me indeed with a very good business that allows me to do this.  I also have the freedom in my work to take off and go to Nicaragua just about anytime I want.  That is one of the reasons, I think, the Lord has called me to do this work.  And He has given me a zeal for this work that I have never experienced before.

CICRIN and Quincho: If you would like to donate to the CICRIN Orphanage or Quincho, simply write a check to Christian Ministries International and mail it to me at the above address.  Please indicate which orphanage you would like the money to be sent to.  You will receive a tax deductible receipt.  If you do not prefer to receive a tax deductible receipt, you can wire the money to Western Union directly to Hellen Vindas (the director of CICRIN).  Then telephone her at 011-505-453-0356 to inform her that the money is there.  Call me any time if you have questions.
