Alvin came to CICRIN a little over a year ago. He came from a very difficult family situation. His father had abandoned his mother before his birth, and five years ago Alvin's Mom died from leukemia. At that time, his Grandmother attempted to look after him but had to leave him all day long while she worked. As a result, Alvin ended up being in the streets all day and sometimes at night as well. Alvin's grandmother appealed to his father for help, and he offered to give them money but never did. It was Alvin's idea to put him in an Institution until he was grown up and able to be a help to his grandmother. Because his grandmother has only visited him once in the past year, Alvin feels very lonely and abandoned.
Alvin is presently studying for the third grade. Being taught in the ways of the Lord, Alvin is learning to trust Jesus to help him fight against his feelings of sadness and loneliness.
If CICRIN does not have sufficient funding to continue to operate, Alvin will have to be placed in another Institution which could result in increasing his feelings of loneliness and abandonment. Your financial support could help prevent this. |
