Name: Heissel Alsocer
Age: 11 years
Birthday: April 26, 1994
Heissel came to
CICRIN when she was 14
months old. She came here because her mother couldn't take care of her.
Her mother had a difficult economic situation, she worked in the market
all day, and she was pregnant again. Heissel was suffering from
malnutrition (3rd grade) bronchitis, scabies in the skin, and had a tumor
in one breast.
When Heissel came to CICRIN, she was
taken to the doctor for treatment. Her weight was that of a 2 months old
baby, and the doctor thought she might have slight retardation because of
her condition. Treatment was commenced with medicine, care, love, good
food and lots of prayers. Heissel recovered completely and has no signs of
retardation.
Heissel is in grade ii, is a very active
girl, likes to talk, play with dolls, and does her chores here at the
orphanage. If CICRIN should close, Heissel does not have a place to go.
She would likely be sent to a non Christian institution where she will not
have the chance to learn more about the love of Jesus.
