Luis was born in Costa Rica. His mom brought him to Nicaragua where she abandoned him because of her drinking problem. Luis was rescued and brought to CICRIN in December of 1993. At first Luis cried a lot, and he was very rebellious.

When Luis started in pre-school, we discovered how intelligent he was and transferred him to grade I. Presently he is in grade IV and doing very well.
Luis is a very happy boy and an extrovert. He does have a lot of mischief in him which causes him to get in trouble a lot. He enjoys playing with his little brother, jimmy, who also lives in the orphanage at CICRIN. He enjoys walking, playing as a horse, riding a bicycle, and running to find fruit. He likes to help build things, fix pipes and plant seeds.
Luis needs a lot of love and care. He, his brother jimmy, and sister Marjorie are fitting well into the way of life at CICRIN. It would be a blessing for them if they could have the stability of being part of a family.
