Marjorie came to CICRIN (Centro Infantil Cristiano Nicaraguense) orphanage in December of 1996. Marjorie and her younger brother Jimmy were not being taken care of by their mother. Because of her alcohol problem, she often abandoned her children. Marjorie has settled in to the life here at CICRIN. She along with her two brothers, Jimmy and Luis, are growing healthy and enjoying all the privileges that they never had before.
Marjorie now age 17
This young lady is studying at high school, her first year, and she
is working hard to get good grades. She loves the English class, One of the
things Marjorie likes to do is to draw pictures, shapes, animals, etc. At
CICRIN Marjorie has many responsibilities. She helps with the washing of
the clothes, cleaning, cooking, and she is being trained to be a leader for
the younger children. She loves to cut hair and does this at the center.
Her desire is to finish her school and study to be a veterinarian.
If we had to close the orphanage, Marjorie would probably be sent back to her alcoholic mother who really doesn't have the ability to care for her.
